Lower School STEM Expo

Lower School Cafeteria
We are excited to announce our first Lower School STEM Expo on April 26 from 3:30-4:45!

We encourage all students to join the fun as either a participant or an attendee! If you would like to participate, please carefully read the information below and complete/return the form on the reverse side of this page. If you would rather not participate, we encourage you to stop by and enjoy the Expo!

When is the STEM Expo?
The STEM Expo will take place from 3:30-4:45 on April 26. Set up will take place from 3:15-3:30 on April 26. Students who are participating in the STEM Expo can be signed out of their classrooms (by parents) at 3:15 to begin setting up for the Expo (additional information on next page). Students who are attending need to be picked up in carpool and should be accompanied by parents.

Who can participate?
Any students from PK3-6th grade may participate.

What do I need to do?
All students should either create a project or answer a question of interest using the scientific method.

What should I bring on the day of the STEM Expo?
Students should bring a tri-fold board describing their work. Students may wish to include the following information on their tri-fold board:
What did you create?
What question did you answer?
What did you learn?

Please add visuals (drawings, photos, diagrams, etc.)
Students may also bring a project/visual aid to go with their tri-fold board to demonstrate their learning!

Can parents help with projects?
As our STEM Expo is focused on learning and experience rather than competition, we encourage parent participation (if desired) in creating projects. Awards will not be given.
