The Indian Creek community is vast and diverse – One can travel world-wide and run into someone who loves ICS.
This impressive network includes our incredible students, our many involved parents, our amazing faculty and staff, and our inspiring alumni families. This network of “Creekers” covers a diverse group of individuals who all share the common attributes of a love of learning, an appreciation for differing viewpoints, a sense of global awareness, and the commitment to hold education as a top priority.

It is essential that parents work in partnership with the faculty and staff to create a network of caring adults to support students as they grow. Every parent is a member of the PTO, the organization of parents, teachers, and administrators that works to develop community. Diversity is an integral part of the ICS curriculum at all ages, and an atmosphere of respect prevails throughout the school. Students learn to ask whether their words and actions are true, kind, and necessary in order to form a learning community that can be thoroughly enjoyed by all.

"Many people say your friends are the family you get to choose and that is exactly what we have here at Indian Creek School. We are blessed to be in a community that allows each of us to have our own identity but still be able to come together as one whole group. We can be an athlete, a musician, an artist, a singer, an actor, a scholar, but most importantly we are able to be ourselves."
Indian Creek school is a co-educational, college preparatory independent school, located in Crownsville, Maryland.  Students in Pre-K3 through grade 12 receive a vibrant educational experience based on excellent academics steeped in strong student-teacher connections.
