To further Indian Creek School’s commitment to providing transformative experiences for every student, we are thrilled to continue our after-school music program. This after school initiative will give students in grades 1 – 12 the opportunity to enhance their performing arts skills and interests through individual or small group lessons. This program will also make it easier for parents! Instead of driving to multiple locations for music lessons, sports and more, you can now participate in all of these right here on campus! Play a sport at ICS, then when practice is over, come inside for a piano lesson! Or enjoy a snack and finish your homework in ICS After Care, swing by for a trumpet lesson, then check back in to After Care to play on the playground...all here at ICS!
Individual and group lessons are available for most instruments and voices of all levels. Lesson options include voice, piano, violin, cello, guitar, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, percussion, and more. Indian Creek’s esteemed performing arts faculty joined by with local professional musicians will provide the highest level of musical instruction right here at school.
Scheduling:
Students may sign up for individual sessions or for the entire school year. At the end of the spring session, we will have a recital for parents and friends to attend.
To be prepared for the spring recital, we encourage students to sign up for both sessions of lessons. Students who only participate in spring lessons will discuss readiness to perform with the lesson teacher.

After school lessons begin after the academic day. Students stay for ICS aftercare and are picked up from extended day for their lessons. After the lesson, students return to aftercare. Students may sign up for individual sessions or for the entire school year. At the end of each session, teachers will share student progress through videos or live performance.
Tuition and Fees:
Private and Group Music/Acting Lessons Session 1 (11 weeks)
- Individual Lessons (30 minutes) = $495
- Group Lessons (45 minutes) = $330
*Please note that a minimum of three students are needed for a group
lesson and a maximum of five students are permitted in a group music lesson

SESSION 1 Registration begins on August 1 and ends Wednesday, September 9th
SESSION 1: September 14 – December 4 (11 weeks plus make up week)
Make up week: December 7 - 11
SESSION 2 Registration begins on December 1 and ends January 6
SESSION 2: January 11 – April 16 (13 weeks plus make up week then recital)
Make up week: April 19 – 23
RECITAL: April 30th at 4:00
All private and group lessons will be scheduled once registration has occurred based on teacher and student preferences.
Scheduling:
- Students will be scheduled for lessons on a first come first served basis.
- Students who have enrolled for the entire year receive priority in keeping the same lesson time throughout the year.
- Students who are registered in a given session will be contacted to receive priority lesson scheduling if they register for the next session at least 3 weeks in advance of the next session.
- Every effort will be made to offer all types of lessons. If we are unable to fill at least three students for a teacher, we reserve the right to cancel lessons in that instrument for the given session.
Make up policy:
- If the teacher must reschedule a lesson, it will be made up with that teacher in the current session
- Parents must send an email message to the lesson teacher or Jill Woodward by 9:00 a.m. on the day of the lesson for an excused absence.
- One excused absence will be made up during Make Up Week at the end of each session.
- If you choose to withdraw your child from lessons, refunds cannot be issued.
Payment:
Billing for lessons will be done through student tuition accounts, so even payment is easy! Since this program is in addition to the school day, students will be enrolled and charged accordingly. Books and all other materials will be communicated in advance and billed separately as needed.
