    Grades PK3 – Kindergarten
If your student is currently enrolled in a program, please have their lead teacher complete this confidential form. If your student is not currently enrolled in school please have a non-family member complete this form (ex: music teacher, swim instructor, etc) The recommendation form can be found virtually through the admissions portal.

    Grades 1-5
Please submit the confidential teacher recommendation form to your student’s current teacher. The recommendation form can be found through the online portal.

    Grades 6-8
Please submit the confidential teacher recommendation form to your student’s current English and Math teachers. If your child has one homeroom teacher for all subjects, please use the separate homeroom recommendation form. The recommendation form can be found through the online portal.

  • 6. Classroom Visit

A required classroom visit can be scheduled for applicants to grades 1 - 12 through the CreekNet portal. Classroom visits are only available following the submission of an application because of limited space availability.
  • 7. Testing

    Pre-K3 – Kindergarten
Students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten will participate in a play-based, observational, screening during their classroom visit.

    Grades 1-5

    Grades 6-12
Students applying for Grade 6 - Grade 12 are required to take either the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). Both the SSAT and the ISEE offer “At Home” test options for applicants who prefer a virtual test administration.

To register, visit www.ssat.org or www.iseetest.org.  When registering, please list ICS as one of the schools to which your child is applying so that test results will be sent directly to us. Our SSAT school code:
    • SSAT – school code 4076
    • ISEE – school code 571491
In addition to your test scores, all applicants for grades 6-12 must submit an SSAT Character Skills Snapshot. This snapshot provides the Indian Creek admission committee with a richer holistic view of your student. It measures your student's view of their character skill development and is meant to complement more traditional cognitive assessments. More information about The Character Skills Assessment and registration information can be found at this link. The testing fee is included in registration for the SSAT. If your student takes the ISEE you must register for the character skills snapshot separately.
