"Stay Gold, Pony Boy." 7th Grade Honors "Outsiders" with Greasers vs. Socs Day

"They grew up on the outside of society. They weren't looking for a fight. They were looking to belong." - S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders

The Indian Creek School Class of 2024 has enjoyed reading the novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton over the past few weeks. On Friday, October 19, the Class honored the classic novel with a much-anticipated "Outsiders Day" celebration. Students (and teachers) came to school dressed as either Greasers or Socs and many even adopted their clique's personalities! English classes gathered together to watch the Outsiders movie and enjoy some early 80's cult classic fun. Snacks and a ton of laughs culminated this literature unit for the seventh grade.
