Julian Sherrod '23 to Serve on Arundel County Executive Youth Advisory Council

Indian Creek School is pleased to share that junior Julian Sherrod has been selected as a member of the Anne Arundel County Executive’s Youth Advisory Council for the 2022-23 school year. Julian, along with 17 other youth representatives from county public and private schools, will make positive change in Anne Arundel County through participation in monthly meetings, discussions with County Executive Pittman, and other community activities.

ICS is confident that Julian will be a valuable member of the Council, advocating for teens across the county. Julian contributes to the Indian Creek community in many ways, using his maturity and technology skills to serve on the Tech Crew for the performing arts department and as manager for the varsity basketball and lacrosse teams. Julian is a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and is a National Latin Exam Scholar. He also participates in the ICS STEM program, school chorus, and Mathletes. Outside of school, Julian volunteers with Operation Christmas Child and was named Most Valuable Member of the Defense Council at the Georgetown Law Academy.

Julian’s Youth Advisory Council term will begin on August 25, 2022 and will last for a period of one year. As a member of the Council, Julian will also serve as a member of the Anne Arundel County Youth Corps.
