"Balloons Over Broadway!" Pre-K Prepares for Thanksgiving with STEAM Day

On Thursday, November 18, the Pre-K class enjoyed STEAM experiences in preparation for the celebration of Thanksgiving! The Classes of 2035 & 2036 read the story Balloons Over Broadway and learned all about how the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade began. In connection with the story, students participated in two different STEAM activities. In one group, students explored the B-Bots with Director of Curriculum and Instruction Sarah Allen '10 and coded their very own parade routes. In the second center, students worked together using a prompt to create their very own balloons for the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade! We hope these events inspire the Pre-K students to enjoy the 95th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade together with their families!
