Indian Creek Reopening Plan Approved by Anne Arundel County Health Department

Indian Creek School is pleased to report that the Anne Arundel County Department has approved the School's 2020-21 reopening plan.

Last Wednesday, August 12, County Health Officer Nilesh Kalyanaraman issued a statement to all non-public schools in Anne Arundel County requiring schools to submit reopening COVID-19 safety plans to the Department at least 14 days prior to the first day of in-person instruction.  The letter stated plans submitted will be reviewed by the Department of Health for compliance with all aspects of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) guidance to ensure the safety of students and staff. Dr. Kalyanaraman shared that plans that comprehensively address safety would be approved.

Upon receipt of the Department of Health request, Head of School Booth Kyle submitted Indian Creek's Planning for 2020-21: Learning Together reopening plan for review.  Mr. Kyle was notified this morning that Indian Creek's plan has been approved by the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.

"Thank you for sharing your Reopening COVID 19 Safety Plan for Indian Creek School with the Department of Health," shared County School Health Services Program Supervisor Anne Laible.  "It is a pleasure to collaborate with you to ensure the health and safety of your staff and students during this public health crisis. Your plan has been reviewed by our team. It addresses all of the key areas and is approved. Thank you for your dedication to the health of our community."
