Learning Together: Excellent Academics and Strong Connections

The 2020-21 school year is going to look different from anything we have experienced. No matter what the upcoming school year brings, Indian Creek will provide an excellent educational program for students in Pre-K3 through grade 12, with a focus on engaging academic experiences, and strong community connections.  Close connections between students and teachers, and between students create a community where all members feel valued and are able to thrive. While this school year will look different than years past, these intrinsic components of the Indian Creek School experience show through every aspect of the 2020-21 program.

We have dedicated these past months to designing the safest, best school program for our students for 2020-21.  As we explored whether we might be able to welcome students and faculty back to campus for in-person learning, our first priority was to create an environment that will best ensure the safety and health of our entire community. Our plans for the start of school have been informed by public health experts, epidemiologists, doctors, and our own Medical Advisory Board, Health and Safety Task Force, and administrative team.

We are optimistic that we can offer at least partial-day, in-person opportunities this fall. Indian Creek's small class sizes and spacious facilities allow us the opportunity to plan a vibrant program, prepared to pivot between on-campus, hybrid-flexible, and distance learning modes. In each of these formats, the ICS program will provide a deep, meaningful academic experience with a focus on fostering strong student-teacher and community connections.

We know that there are students and families that would prefer to begin the year in a 100% distance learning mode. To that end, if we do offer in-person learning opportunities, Indian Creek will also offer virtual learning options. We strongly believe that parents should decide which learning option best meets the comfort level and needs of their own families. Indian Creek School is committed to providing an exceptional learning experience for all students in all formats.
