Upper School Acting Class Presents "STRANDED: Views from Quarantine"

Indian Creek’s Upper School acting class proved that “the show must go on,” even during times of pandemic! Over the past weeks of Virtual School, the class has been working on monologues from a new play, “STRANDED: Views from Quarantine,” by Stage Partners Playwrights. “STRANDED” features a series of monologues presented from the point of view of a variety of passengers being kept in solitary cabins of a cruise ship that has been quarantined. The young artists organization put this fun show together in response to the rapidly changing school theater environment during the pandemic when student actors could not all be together in person. The class gathered together for their final synchronous session on Friday, May 22, to enjoy a screening of their collective project.

This production, rehearsed and produced during the pandemic of 2020 during Virtual School by Acting Class students at Indian Creek School, featured the following scenes: “Mine” performed by Drew Jones ’20, “The Magnificent Mysterio” performed by Annabelle Derrick ’21, “Re: The Pact” performed by Katie Spencer ’21, “Sock Talk” performed by Kaiya Collins ’22, “By the Dock” performed by Neto Ibe ’23, “Wilding in Idaho” performed by James Moutsos ’20, “20,000 Steps” performed by Jordyne Hebron ’20, “Not It!” performed by Milli Rosa ’23, “Clarice, the Friendly Ghost” - a second performance by Kaiya, “Time to Disappear” performed by Lailah McCuiston ’20, “Towel's It Hangin'?” – a second performance by Neto, “Reform” performed by Kenzie Welter ’23, “I think...I do” – a second performance by James (with a special appearance by Kenzie), “A Plea” – second performance by Lailah, “On Board the Rebecca” performed by Jay Krizan ’20, “Just Breathe” performed by Kyndall Crawford ’23, “Searching for Palaemon” – a second performance by Mili, “Clean Hands” – a second performance by Drew, “Formal Night” – a second performance by Annabelle, “Class Cruise” – a second performance by Katie, and “Grandmas' Special Perfume” – a second performance by Jordyne.
