Inaugural Chapter of Indian Creek Key Club Inducts 21 Founding Members
On the evening of Tuesday, February 27, Indian Creek School was proud to induct 21 students into the inaugural chapter of the Indian Creek Key Club. The Key Club, proudly sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, is an international student-led organization that provides opportunities to serve others, grow in leadership, and develop character.
The induction ceremony opened with a welcome by Faculty Advisor Mrs. DePaolis, followed by Upper School Head Mr. Connolly sharing some of his own Key club experiences. Mr. Connolly belonged to a Key Club chapter in in Maine and is thrilled to see a Key club start at Indian Creek. Chapter President Parker Booth ‘19 spoke about some of the service projects that the Indian Creek Key Club students have undertaken so far this year, including providing wrapped gifts for families in need and writing letters to a local nursing home, as well as the upcoming service trip to Puerto Rico. Kiwanis representative and local Key Club Chapter Advisor Mr. Bill Hand presented the group with a Key club banner, a bell, and a gavel.
