Students Represent Slovakia, Sweden, and NBA at Chantilly Model United Nations Conference

On January 11 and 12, six Upper School students, along with faculty Model United Nations (UN) advisors Chuck Goetz and Tom Sheppard, attended the Chantilly High School Model UN Conference (CHMUN) in Northern Virginia.  Representing Slovakia in the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, seniors Owen Pease and Chichi Ukeje received a verbal commendation from the staff of their committee.  Other students represented Sweden in the International Maritime Organization (Ted Ginsburg '19 and Rebecca Streidel '22) or owners of NBA teams gathered for the NBA League Meeting (Chidera Irono '19 and Havana Mullaly '22).  Continuing the international theme, students enjoyed a meal at a Chinese restaurant Friday night as part of this overnight experience.
