Senior Marrac Miller Honored for Eagle Scout Project

Indian Creek congratulates senior Marrac Miller for being honored at Historic Baldwin Hall in Millersville, Maryland, on March 10 for completing his Eagle Scout project. Marrac was honored along with three fellow Eagle Scouts from Troop 993 in Severna Park.

Marrac started as a Tiger Scout in Pack 993 and went through Cub Scouts in Pack 994 before joining Pack 993 at Severna Park United Methodist Church. His favorite troop events include the annual Seafood Festival at Sandy Point, beach-camping at Assateague, a dozen Summer Camps at Broad Creek and five High Adventure Trips. Miller has spent more than 100 nights camping, 300 miles hiking, done more than 80 service hours (not including his Eagle project) and earned 40 merit badges and Special Awards for Snorkeling and World Conservation.

For his Eagle Scout project, Miller organized the construction of a “Free Little Library” in Shipley’s Choice. For several weeks, he worked with community leadership on designs, location, and funding. He coordinated building and landscaping activities with several Scouts and finally, organized a neighborhood-wide book drive to stock the library with books.

Congratulations Marrac!
