Indian Creek Astronomy Night is Out of this World

In the early evening of Friday, January 26, a group of Indian Creek seventh through twelfth grade students, along with faculty members Mr. Klakring, Ms. Derry, Mrs. Miles, and Mr. Crossman, gathered on the small meadow on the north side of the Crownsville Campus for an experience that was out of this world! The clear skies cooperated to give a spectacular view of the moon at the first official "Indian Creek Astronomy Night." After a brief instruction session, the group enjoyed using the Indian Creek STEM Departments large 203 mm reflector telescope. Astronomy minded students and faculty were invited to bring their own binoculars and telescopes as well as their share of curiosity and patience. Stay tuned for an announcement about the next ICS Astronomy Night - Families are welcome to join in the fun!
