ICS Director of Educational Technology Sara White Named to LG Technologies Advisory Board

Indian Creek School (ICS) is thrilled to announce that Director of Educational Technology Sara White has been named one of six founding advisors on the prestigious LG Technologies Advisory Board. This global board is composed of EdTech leaders dedicated to enhancing education through innovative technology. The only female educator and the only independent school representative on the board, Sara will provide expert insights to drive forward-thinking innovations in educational technology.

A Leader in Educational Technology

During her four years at Indian Creek, Ms. White has been instrumental in shaping the school’s EdTech vision. Her leadership has fostered a transformative partnership with LG Technologies that has greatly benefited both the school and the company. In addition to teaching computer science classes and advising the Girls Who Code club, White developed Indian Creek’s Innovation Lab and played a key role in designing the Machemer Family Creek Lab—a cutting-edge, 1,000-square-foot space that enhances learning for students from Pre-K to 12.

Building a Transformative Partnership

Focused on excellence in education, Indian Creek aimed to bring user-friendly, innovative technology into its classrooms. Understanding the financial barriers that often limit technology upgrades, Ms. White reached out to LG Technologies to explore the CreateBoard, an affordable, interactive smartboard. LG responded by donating several models to ICS for testing, seeking valuable feedback from teachers. After months of hands-on use, a team from LG’s headquarters in Korea visited ICS to gather insights directly from faculty.

Thanks to suggestions from Indian Creek’s educators, LG modified its existing boards to better meet classroom needs and released an updated version incorporating those improvements. LG then generously replaced all previous models at ICS with the new, feature-rich CreateBoards. Seeing the success of this collaboration, Sara proposed a formal partnership between LG and Indian Creek, which led to her becoming the first LG Educator in the national LG Schools program.

Shaping the Future of Learning

This partnership has transformed the learning experience for students at Indian Creek, providing cutting-edge technology and innovative educational spaces. LG Technologies has gained valuable insights from ICS’s real-world classroom experiences, informing its product development and enhancing its educational solutions.

“We’re not just creating innovative education technology—we’re shaping the future of learning. By collaborating with Indian Creek, we gain valuable insights that help us design tools that truly transform the classroom. Our first LG Educator, Sara White, is dedicated to continuous learning and best practices. Together, we are empowering teachers to drive student success. We deeply value this genuine, collaborative partnership," said Victoria Sanville, Director of Corporate and Public Sector Sales, LG Electronics USA Inc.
