Class of 2023 Athletes Commit on National Signing Day 2022
The ICS community gathered this morning to celebrate five senior athletes who committed to play at the Division 1 & 2 collegiate level next year. Families, friends, teachers, and coaches came together in the Vos Academic Resource Center with balloons, banners, pennants, and other swag to support Avery Barnhill, Molly, Bunker, Benny Carter, Anna Crum, and Nick Pratt, as they signed letters of intent to officially begin the next important phase in their lives.
Director of College Counseling Maggie Melson welcomed the group and shared her excitement at this culmination of the student athletes' hard work. Head of School Booth Kyle then congratulated the seniors and told them that they are about to make memories that will last a lifetime. Director of Athletics Jason Werner then addressed the group, reviewing the athletes' accomplishments, which have included winning a number of championship titles during their time at ICS. He shared that it is extraordinary to have five seniors signing letters of intent out of a class of 65.
