National Art Honor Society Inducts 11 New Members
"I will in my life, to the best of my ability through my talents in art, help to create a more beautiful world for myself, for humankind, and for all living things."
With this promise, 11 new members joined the ranks of Indian Creek School's Chapter of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS). During an induction ceremony on December 8, NAHS officers Rebecca Streidel '22 (President), Kate Boney '22 (Vice President), Amareah Bead '22 (Secretary), and Daniel Ablorh '22 (Historian), along with advisor Mrs. Hilary Briles, shared the elements and principles of art with students, faculty, and families who had gathered to witness the event.
Indian Creek's chapter of the NAHS is in it's eighth year of existence, and honors students who show an aptitude for and commitment to the fine arts. The group participates in art events and fundraisers, including their renowned holiday ornament sale to benefit the SPCA.
Congratulations to the newest members of the ICS NAHS: Julia Argilan '23, Lila Blue '22, Billy Bowman '22, Molly Bunker '23, Dani Engelfried '22, Sophee Gomberg '24, Sylvie Guinan-Linck '24, Kennedy Leonard '23, Finn Morrissey '22, and Cheyenne Thomas '24.
