"Eagles with a Purpose" Host Clean Up with Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay

Indian Creek's newly formed Eagles With A Purpose group enjoyed their inaugural outing on Friday, September 17, leaving campus to volunteer with the Alliance For the Chesapeake Bay. The Eagles hosted a clean-up site for Project Clean Stream and picked up trash on and near the Bacon Ridge trail in Crownsville.

Eagles With a Purpose is a new organization at Indian Creek, which gives students the opportunity to gain a better understanding of social justice, participate in community engagement, realize individual and collective agency in meeting the needs of others, advocate for social justice, and engage in reflection. The program allows students the opportunity to explore their passions through hands-on activities that utilizes their abilities for the benefit of the community at large.  We look forward to hearing more about the work of this dynamic group throughout the year!
