Senior Spotlight: Kalle Huff
Kalle Huff has appreciated the special sense of community at ICS over the years. "I love the community at Indian Creek,” she shares. “I've always felt like people genuinely care about each other.”
A Creeker since 2007, Kalle has developed a wide range of passions. She has been involved in theater and music, participating in the Cappies, the Tri-M (music honor society), and solo choir. She is a longtime violin player who plans to continue playing while in college. Her music and theater pursuits complement her interest in writing and literature, which she has deepened while in high school. Huff is also National Honor Society member who has been involved with many volunteer efforts through the Key Club.
Academically, Kalle couldn’t pick just one favorite class or teacher. “I've loved my English, science and math classes,” said Huff. “Ms. Derry, Mrs. Engles, Ms. Sweterlitsch, Mrs. Roth, Mrs. Woodward, Mr. Roth and Mr. Klakring have taught all of the classes that I’ve loved so much. I’ve enjoyed having the space to grow and develop academically over the past four years in high school.”
This passion will serve Kalle well as she goes on to study at Ohio State University next year.
