Senior Spotlight: Kyle Huey
Kyle Huey graduated this year having taken advantage of a unique opportunity to pursue his interests through the Voros Senior Thesis Project. His senior thesis, “Democratic Backsliding in the United States,” was borne of his love for politics, which he fostered in government class with Dr. Dziennik and plans to continue studying at Haverford College. “Government class with Dr. Dziennik was a pretty huge influence,” said Huey, who is currently eyeing psychology and political science as areas of study in college next year.
Huey enjoyed his participation in multiple theater productions while at Indian Creek, as well as playing on the tennis team for multiple years. He said the ability to know and form close relationships through every aspect of school guided him in his plans for the future. “The sense of community here was really useful to me,” said Huey. “I’ve met a lot of people who were really influential in my life, and that definitely played a part in me choosing a liberal arts college, because I wanted to keep that sort of small feel that I got here.”
