Girls on the Run Team Culminates Season with 5K and SPCA Service Project

Congratulations to the Indian Creek Lower School Girls on the Run team on a fun and successful season!  The girls culminated a season of running together by participating in the organization's annual 5K last Saturday at Kinder Farm Park.

While the third and fourth grade student athletes had a great time working out together this season, they also worked together on a service project. The girls organized a pet supplies drive, collecting dog and cat toys, food, treats, and blankets, which they donated to the Anne Arundel County SPCA after the race on Saturday.  The girls' efforts were greatly appreciated, with the SPCA's Nick Crawford sharing "Make sure the girls know that our shelter animals appreciate and truly benefit from the kindness they showed today."

Congratulations to Doanya, Stella, Katelyn, Lexi, Arlia, Kiva, Sophia, Ryan, and Parker, along with Coaches Mrs. DeBuse and Ms. McLaren on a great season!
