Senior Spotlight: Caroline Schroeder
Throughout her high school years, Indian Creek senior Caroline Schroeder has steadily been developing her talent in a unique personal interest: filmmaking. “Through comic books and Marvel movies and my dad, that really got me into filmmaking,” said Schroeder of her passion for movies. “I went to a filmmaking summer camp, and I got to be on a real set and see what professionals do, be a set decorator, use a real camera. So, that’s really what I want to do in life, make movies or have a production company.”
Schroeder worked on a student film during her summer camp that was eventually nominated for an award at the Annapolis Film Festival in 2019, which Schroeder said, “made me really proud.”
As a photographer and layout designer in her Journalism & Publications class, Schroeder’s eye for design will be something the whole school will see and enjoy in the 2020-2021 yearbook.
Schroeder noted the small size of Indian Creek’s classes as something she has loved about her experience here. “Our class is small, so it’s great to have a close group of friends,” she said.
