Senior Spotlight: Olivia Boucher
“I’m a lifer,” shares ICS senior Olivia Boucher, who has attended Indian Creek since Pre-Kindergarten. In her time at Indian Creek, Olivia has appreciated the opportunities she has had to pursue her interests. She will graduate in the spring with 13 AP credits and a passion for life sciences and art.
“ICS has created an academic environment where I can learn as much as I can in my areas of interest,” said Boucher. “It has taught me how to manage my time. I’ve taken all of the BLincs in aquatic biology/ecology, and by the time I graduate will have also taken both AP Environmental and AP Biology. It’s really shaped what I want to go into for further education and has allowed me to learn more about how the environment and its organisms, including us, function.”
Olivia cites AP Environmental Science with Mrs. Roth, AP World History with Mr. Larson and AP Studio Art with Mrs. Briles as her favorite classes. “They all have a very hands-on approach, which really helped me understand the information in context to real world applications,” she shares.
Boucher is also captain of the Eagles Varsity Sailing team. “I’m super proud (to be captain of the sailing team) since it’s a very close-knit team,” she said.
Boucher said relationships with teachers are what she values most about Indian Creek: “I’ve always felt super-connected with my teachers. They genuinely want you to succeed.”
Congratulations, Olivia! We can't wait to see what your future holds.
