Class of 2020 College Decision Day: Oh the Places They'll Go!

May 1 is traditionally known as College Decision Day at Indian Creek. Members of the senior class decorate their Indian Creek uniforms, and wear gear from their future colleges to "announce" their college choices to their friends and teachers.  The Class of 2020 was not about to let a pandemic prevent them from sharing this milestone together!

The ICS senior class gathered together with their friends, families, and teachers in Senior Breakfast Zoom meeting. Many of the students wore college gear, and the students viewed a video showing their college choices together as a group.

Students had the opportunity to speak to their classmates and teachers, and the faculty had the opportunity to address the seniors during this emotional gathering.  Senior (and ICS "lifer") Tyler Alsted shared, "Thank you so much to ICS the teachers and coaches who have helped me get to this point.  I am very proud to be a part of the Class of 2020. These years have been an amazing experience and I will miss you all."  Director of Campus Connections Bruce Crossman made the group smile, as he gave them the advice to "Go out into the world and smile, greet people you are happy to see.  It's ok to hold the door open for others along the way." Humanities teacher Becca Derry captured the sentiments of many of her colleagues, sharing, "We have really enjoyed you all over the years.  I have no doubt that you guys are going to do great things."

Congratulations to the Indian Creek School Class of 2020 on the culmination of your years of hard work!
