Third Grade Spinach Project Takes Root in the Greenhouse

Our third graders are partnering with the Anne Arundel County Farm Bureau for a hands-on spinach growing project! With the help of Mrs. Donna Crouch, who gave students a lesson on planting and caring for spinach, students planted their own seeds and will continue caring for them in our school greenhouse.

Once the plants are ready, students will transplant them into reusable fabric grow bags to take home before Thanksgiving so families can continue caring for and harvesting their spinach.
