Indian Creek School senior Darren Seibert has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Lindenwood University, where he will compete in skeet shooting.
Seibert began hunting and shooting clays with his father at just 10 years old and started competing in registered events in 2022. Since then, he has traveled extensively to major tournaments, steadily building a reputation as one of the nation’s top young competitors.
Seibert’s hosts an impressive list of accomplishments, named a 2025 Junior All-American Team member and earned high overall (HOA) honors at several major competitions, including the 2025 Delaware State 5-Stand and the 2025 Atlantic Flyway. He also claimed top finishes at the Western Regional Super Sporting event and made a strong showing at Nationals in his first appearance.
Lindenwood Head Coach Shari Rowe praised Seibert’s commitment and potential: “To say that I am excited as the Head Coach for Lindenwood University Shotgun Sports for Darren to join us next year would be an understatement. Mr. Siebert is one of the most sought-after young sporting clays competitors in the United States. Choosing where you go to continue your education is a huge decision. We are proud to welcome Darren to our campus and are excited to see him continue to excel in his sport at a lion.”
Seibert’s commitment is part of a standout year for Indian Creek’s Class of 2026. Nationally, only about 6–7% of high school athletes go on to compete in college athletics, with fewer than 2% reaching the NCAA Division I level. At Indian Creek, however, approximately 12% of the senior class has committed to play in college (double the national average) with 3% heading to Division I programs.
