Indian Creek Welcomes New National Art Honor Society Inductees

On Wednesday, October 29, Indian Creek School proudly hosted the 12th Annual National Art Honor Society (NAHS) Induction Ceremony. Chapter officers Isabel Henessey ’26, January Bear ’27 and Anabella King ’26, along with chapter advisor Ms. Hilary Briles, welcomed 8 new members into the society.

The Indian Creek NAHS chapter is an active group that supports the arts through events and service projects, including face painting at CREEKfest, creating custom pet ornaments to benefit the SPCA, drawing cat portraits to aid in adoptions, painting sets for school plays, and contributing artwork for the school auction.

During the ceremony, each officer spoke about the importance of the arts and the commitment required of NAHS members while lighting three primary color candles to begin the induction. The new members then recited the NAHS oath:

“I will in my life, to the best of my ability through my talents in art, help to create a more beautiful world for myself, for humankind, and for all living things.

To commemorate the occasion, each inductee received a red carnation, a certificate, and a National Art Honor pin.

Congratulations to the newest members of the Indian Creek School National Art Honor Society: Ally Bell '28, Brooke Davis '28, Quinn Guilfoyle '27, Abby Herman '27, Maia Riley '26, Caroline Shenck '27, Isabella Stattel '27, Kelsey Vickerman '26
