Constitutional Interpretation, Black Cattle, and Presidential Debates: Three Seniors Pursue Scholarship in the Humanities through Voros Thesis Program

Laudations go out to three Indian Creek seniors who successfully presented and defended their Voros Theses on Monday, May 27! Last spring, these students embarked on a 12-month pursuit to answer a question within the scope of the humanities, which led them to research and write a 40-60 page dissertation. This work culminated in a presentation and defense in front of a panel of faculty and field experts.

Congratulations to this year's Voros thesis scholars:
Naima Bead – “To Preserve, and Defend the Constitution: A Comparative Analysis of the Trump and Biden Administrations’ Interpretation of the U.S. Constitution” [Completed]

Irene Goldstein – “The Backbone of the Highlands; Black cattle and the Rural Economy of the Scottish Highlands, ca. 1700-1815” [Completed]

Sophia O’Connell – “The Evolution of Fact-Checking in General Televised Presidential Debates from1960-2020” [Completed with Distinction]
