Pre-K Students Code Blue Bots to Dance Like Bumblebee Communications

The Indian Creek School Pre-K 4 classes are learning about bees and the important role they play in nature. Through their studies, the children learned that bees communicate by dancing. To illustrate what they learned, the children turned their Blue Bot robots into bumblebees, as they programmed the bots to dances like bees! Children worked together in small groups to physically plan their code using directional cards. As the children put a card down to represent a move, they then coded the Blue Bot to follow that move. Once the classes completed their codes, they got to enjoy watching their Blue Bot Bees dance to communicate, just like real bumblebees!
