Twelve New Members Inducted into Indian Creek’s National Honor Society

On Wednesday, October 22, 12 new members were inducted into the Indian Creek School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS). Indian Creek Upper School students, including current NHS members and officers, gathered with the inductees, families, and special guests to celebrate this achievement.

Chapter Advisor (and Assistant Principal) Tricia Roth welcomed Head of School Booth Kyle to the podium. He began the ceremony by highlighting the core values of the National Honor Society: scholarship, service, leadership, and character, sharing how these principles embody not only the NHS members, but the spirit of the Indian Creek community.

The ceremony continued with speeches from NHS chapter officers—President Madison Harris '26, Vice President Abbie Sadowski '26, Secretary Henry Sosman '26, and Treasurer Joey Patanella '26—each reflecting on the meaning and importance of the society’s four pillars. To conclude the ceremony, new members recited the official NHS pledge and were called forward to receive a rose, a pin, and a certificate, formally marking their induction.

Congratulations to the newly inducted members of the ICS National Honors Society: Nolan Ayodeji ’26, Liam Foley ’26, Madison Sumpter ’26, Lily Swope ’26, and January Bear ’27, Talia Cheng ’27, Abbygael Clarke Schmitt ’27, Domenic Craig ’27, Saoirse Hosman ’27, Liam Mixter ’27, Zoe Thomas ’27, and Ella Waits ’27.
