The Vision Behind Indian Creek’s New Alumni House

When you walk through the doors of Indian Creek’s soon-to-be Alumni House, you’ll step into more than just a renovated building — you’ll be stepping into a space designed for connection. For Director of Development Tyler Larkin, the project represents both a physical space and a powerful symbol of community. “We wanted to create a dedicated, welcoming space for our alumni — a true home on campus where connections can continue to grow long after graduation,” says Larkin.

Unlike other recent campus projects focused on academics or athletics, the Alumni House centers around people — the generations of Creek alumni who have built and continue to sustain the school’s vibrant community. “This project is really about continuity,” Larkin explains. “It’s built on relationships — between past, present, and future members of the Indian Creek family.”

The renovated building will house offices and flexible gathering spaces where alumni can drop by before a game, a concert, or during CREEKfest. It’s designed to be a natural home base — a place where graduates can reconnect with teachers, friends, and the next generation of students following in their footsteps.

While plans for the space are still being finalized, the Development team is exploring ways to weave Creek’s history into every corner. “We’re considering a Head’s Gallery, photos of marquee moments in school history, maybe even a permanent home for the bell,” Larkin says. “These are the kinds of touches that make the space feel like ours — rooted in tradition but alive with new energy.”

The Alumni House will serve as both a destination and an invitation — a tangible reminder that Creek’s story continues to unfold through the lives of its alumni. For Larkin, the Alumni House represents something much larger than brick and mortar. “It’s a reminder that once you’re part of the Creek community, you’re always part of it,” he says. “This house is a way to honor those who built the foundation of our school and to invite every alum to stay engaged in shaping its future.”

As construction continues, excitement is building for the day when alumni will once again fill the halls — sharing memories, laughter, and the unmistakable spirit of Indian Creek.
