Elan Martin '22 Receives Congressional Citation and Senate Commendation for Work as US Youth Ambassador

Congratulations to Indian Creek sophomore Elan Martin, who received a citation from U.S. House of Representative Congressman Anthony G. Brown and a letter from U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen for her work as a 2019 U.S. Youth Ambassador to the Dominican Republic.

As a Youth Ambassador, Elan spent three weeks in the Dominican Republic last summer studying abroad and helpeing to build parks and rehab recreation centers in DR communities. As Senator Van Hollen shared, "You have been chosen from a highly qualified group of applicants. It is both an honor and a great responsibility to travel to a foreign country as a representative of the United States, and I commend you for participating in this challenging and rewarding endeavor."  Congratulations Elan!
