Justine “Jay” Krizan , Class of 2020, is a student whose creativity is highlighted in the rehearsal room, the classroom, and on the stage.
Jay works diligently to maintain a 4.05 GPA while taking AP United States History, AP Language and Composition and Precalculus, and is a member of the National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She comes to life when speaking about her love of music. She plays over six different instruments, including the flute, clarinet, guitar, bass, drums, and piano. She has recently taken on the role of Assistant Musical Director for students in grades 9 through 12, teaching the music to other cast members, and even rewriting some parts to better fit the student!
Jay doesn’t just work behind the stage…she is an actor as well. As a freshman, she was cast in High School Musical as a Braniac/Thespian, was Bella in Lost in Yonkers, and has been cast in the 2019 production of Newsies as Crutchy. Jay also serves as a Cappies Critic, reviewing high school productions throughout the Baltimore region.
