Welcome to the Indian Creek School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)!

The ICS Center for Community & Well-Being, in collaboration with the PTO, has planned a series of parent education events for the 2025-26 school year which address topics that may be of interest to parents of students from Pre-K through grade 12. To appeal to a broad range of schedules and interests, this year’s programming includes podcasts, lectures, book club discussions, and a theater talk-back.

Queen Bees & Wannabes Book Discussion & Talk-Back

Book Discussion & Talk-Back with the Directors & Cast of Indian Creek’s “Mean Girls”
TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 6:00 - 7:30 P.m. - Book Discussion & Sneak Peek
SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. - Performance & Talk-Back

In collaboration with the Upper School musical production of “Mean Girls,” parents are invited to read the classic parenting book that inspired the musical - Queen Bees & Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman. This edition has been updated with new material on gender expression, cancel culture, social media, and bullying based on feedback from today's teenagers. This event will take place in two parts.

The PTO is a volunteer organization dedicated to the successful education of our children. We work hard to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community to help make the school year both enjoyable and exciting for students, teachers, and parents.

The purpose of our organization is to support the curricular and extracurricular activities of the school; to promote communication between the administration and parents; and to encourage ICS school pride and spirit.

The PTO Goals for the school year are:
  1. Develop creative ways to build community with parents, teachers, and students
  2. Foster unity and inclusion in our school community
  3. Champion and advocate for ICS's ideals, goals, and strategies
  4. Ensure continuity and succession within the PTO structure in order to support our mission
Tuesday, April 21, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.: Join us for a visit with the Directors and cast members from Mean Girls, followed by a book club discussion moderated by members of the ICS Center for Community & Well-Being, and a “sneak peek” of the Mean Girls dress rehearsal.

Saturday, April 25, 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.: Come enjoy the entertaining - and insightful - production of Mean Girls and stay for a talk-back with the cast and crew following the show.
Every parent of an Indian Creek student is a member of the PTO. To fulfill our purpose, mission, and goals, the PTO has many events throughout the year, including fundraising, parent education, teacher/staff appreciation, and community-building events.
