Indian Creek students, families, and faculty members are 'helpers' by nature. While we are all separated by necessity during this time, the ICS community continues to find ways to come together to have a positive impact on the world around us.

"Dragons Love Tacos" (Mr. Szech)
In order to stay connected with their younger peers, (and give Creek parents an occasional break), Upper School students and faculty are creating a "Creek Storytime" video library. Submit your video by emailing it to Dean of Student Activities Tonya Montgomery.

Other Service Opportunities
Bandana Masks with Mr. Crossman
Be a Digital Smithsonian volunteer! Join thousands of others to crowd source the transcription, editing, and proofreading of items from Smithsonian collections so they can be used by people around the world for research. Items are included from the areas of science, history, technology, art, and world cultures. Create and account and track the hours you spend working by noting your start and stop times so that your hours can be certified for ICS. There is a page that shows your work history that will be required to be printed as well in place of a signature. You can sign up and do your service at https://transcription.si.edu/
Hospice of the Chesapeake Provide “Thank you for your service” cards for Hospice of the Chesapeake to use for their veterans ceremonies. Typically these cards are provided by schools, but with schools out of their buildings, they are running very low. These can be premade cards with handwritten messages or handmade cards. All are appreciated. Cards can be mailed to: Nikki Malatesta, Hospice of the Chespeake John and Cathy Belcher Campus 90 Richey Highway Pasadena, MD 21122
To get service hours credit, please track dates and times spent working on the project and take a photo of the cards before sending them. A parent or guardian can then sign off on your work.
