Varsity Girls Soccer Players Spread Cheer at Friendship Village

Being an Eagles Athlete means more than just bringing your best self to the field. The Indian Creek Athletics program challenges students to excel in the classroom and to enhance their communities as well. This Saturday, January 19, the Varsity Girls Soccer team reunited to spread some cheer to the residents of Friendship Village, a Senior Community run by the Catholic Charities of Baltimore. The players, along with Coach Ron Santos, made a fun evening visit to Friendship Village to chat with the residents and hold a quite competitive Bingo tournament. There were lots of smiles and laughter exchanged. Sarah Mathes '19, Kaitlyn Kokoski '19, Gabby Simpkins '19, Cali Schwerdtfeger '21, Naomi Sheppard '21 and Annie Chalkley '21 led Bingo, gave out prizes, and enjoyed the company of their new friends. Everyone is looking forward to the next visit!
