Kindergarten Students Explore the National Museum of the American Indian

What fun our Kindergarten students had on Thursday, November 8, on their trip to the National Museum of the American Indian! The museum trip brought their Native American studies to life, as they got to participate in a hands-on exploration in the imagiNations Center. Students enjoyed a variety of actifities from building an igloo to sitting in a tipi, to weaving baskets, and trying out snowshoes. The children learned about some of the ways in which Native peoples have used the natural environments around them to meet their needs, and were astonished to learn how many Native American innovations are still part of daily life today.
