Indian Creek Mathletes Take First Place at AACC Competition

The Indian Creek School Math Team took first place at Saturday's Anne Arundel Community College Math competition. The mathletes were understandably exuberant, and there were high fives all around when the scores came in.

New team member Hannah Gomberg '22 scored one point on the individual portion, which is quite impressive for a first competition. Math competition scores are like soccer scores: there’s a world of difference between 1 and 0. Indian Creek was third place overall for the year going into the competition, and the team's scores from Saturday has shrunk the gap between second and third place considerably. The team looks forward to the final two competitions of the season.

Captain emeritus Albany Bloor '18 stopped by to make a celebrity appearance and cheer on her former teammates.
