Julia Leavitt '23 Headed to World Skating Championships in Boston
Indian Creek seventh grade student Julia Leavitt recently skated in the ISI National Conference Championships held at Piney Orchard Ice Arena. Julia, a member of the Bowie Ice Arena Figure Skating Team, skated in a number of individual and team events. In her skating level groupings, Julia was awarded first place in both figures and jump/spin events, third in her freestyle program, and fourth in artistic. Julia also skated with her Bowie synchronized skating team. The entire Bowie team placed first overall in total points awarded in the competition. In July, Julia will skate with her Bowie teammates in the ISI World Team Championships to be held in Boston. Congratulations to Julia!
