Alaina Clemence '18 Earns Two Superior Musical Ratings in State and National Festivals

Congratulations to Alaina Clemence '18 for two recent Superior musical ratings in both voice and piano. In May Alaina received a Superior at the Maryland Music Educators Association State Solo and Ensemble festival for vocal performance. She sang "The Black Swan," a Level 6 selection, from Gian Carlo Menotti's opera, The Medium. This week, Alaina participated in her eleventh year of national piano auditions held by the American College of Musicians / National Guild of Piano Teachers. She received a Superior rating for her interpretations of J.S.Bach's Prelude in C minor, BMV 999 and Dennis Alexander's "Fields of Lavender." We hope she continues her musical studies next year at Dickinson College.
