Farm Fun! Pre-K Explores the Wonders of Spring at Waterford Farm

Farm fun! Our Pre-K 3 students enjoyed a gorgeous day at Sharp’s Waterford Farm in Brookevillle, MD, on Wednesday, May 2. This fun field trip reinforced the students' units on Spring. During our trip the children learned about worms (close up!) and made their very own compost piles. A highlight of the day took place on a hay ride that even took them through a river. The students were able to use compost created last Spring to plant either kale, cabbage or lettuce plants. The students then embarked upon a scavenger hunt around the farm and had the opportunity to meet some of the farm animals. Thank you to the folks at Sharp's Waterford Farm for a wonderful day!
