Eagles Baseball Repeats Victory Over Chapelgate 7-1

The Indian Creek Eagles defeated the Yellowjackets of Chapelgate Christian Academy 7-1 in an MIAA C conference game on Monday, April 30. The Eagles prevailed over the Yellowjackets by the same score during their earlier matchup in March.

Consistent run scoring was the key to the Eagles' victory as the team scored runs in five of the seven innings. Freshman Evan Selmer pitched five innings and earned the win with eight strikeouts and one earned run, while Alex Seidleck '21 pitched two scoreless innings in relief for the Eagles and struck out four.

Seidleck and sophomore John Warner led the Eagles in hitting, each with two hits including a triple and a double for Seidleck and a double for Warner.  Seidleck scored two of the seven runs while five other Eagles each scored one. Warner notched two steals to go with his two hits.

The Eagles are now 5-1 in the C Conference, 8-3 overall.
