Giant Heart, Brain Playground, Sky Bike, and Terra Cotta Warriors! Fourth Grade Visits Philadelphia's Franklin Institute

The Indian Creek School Class of 2026 enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA, on Thursday, March 1. This incredible museum seemed tailor-made to enhance the fourth grade curriculum, as students were able to visit the traveling Terra Cotta warriors exhibit, which relates to the students' studies of Chinese Dynasties. Fourth grade is also studying the heart and the circulatory system, and the children were able to run though a giant model of the human heart in the museum's heart room. Additionally, the museum proveded many hands-on activities related to the science units ofelectricity and the School's emphasis on how the brain works. The students agree that all children should visit this fun and educational museum - but especially in fourth grade!
