Eli Fortier '22 Wins Third Place at County Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Indian Creek eighth grade student Eli Fortier who won third place at the County Spelling Bee held at the Anne Arundel County Board of Education last Saturday, February 24. Eli competed against 25 public, private, and home school students and made it through 11 rounds, spelling words such as: denim, popularity, newfangled, Siberian, matriarch, metaphor, nemesis, bezoar, surveillance, and karaoke, before being stumped by 'soliloquy.' Director of Campus Connections Bruce Crossman was present to cheer for our Creeker, along with Eli's family. Congratulations to Eli for representing Indian Creek well!
