AP French Students Visit the French Embassy

AP French students visited the Maison Francaise at the French Embassy for showing of a newly released documentary entitled "La Cour de Babel". The film addresses a year in the life 24 immigrant children, speaking 20 different languages who are part of a reception class in a Parisien school, which is designed to assist them with French and the core curriculum so that they can be successful in mainstream classes.  It gives valuable insight into the challenges of immigration from the perspective of the students and their families, many of whom are facing serious concerns outside of school as well.  Not only was the film highly relevant to  immigration worldwide, it is a major topic in the AP curriculum.
