Seventh Grade Greasers and Socs All Enjoy "The Outsiders"

Mrs. Porter's seventh grade Literature classes have really enjoyed reading S.E. Hinton's classic novel The Outsiders. This novel, which is written from the perspective of teenagers struggling to navigate social schema and adolescence, entertains and engages students of this age group. To celebrate their completion of the novel, Mrs. Porter's classes came to school dressed as "Greasers and Socs," and watched the movie based on the novel. Repetitions of "Stay gold, Pony boy. Stay gold." could be heard throughout the school.
