Sixth Grade "NASA" Scientists Design Self-Powered Rovers

Sixth grade students took on the personas of NASA scientists yesterday, as they took their studies of space exploration to another world!  Each scientist was tasked with designing a cardboard rover powered by rubber bands. Yesterday, the students travelled to NASA's secret remote location on the ICS campus to test how far their rovers would go. Grants to continue their research were awarded to the top three scientist in each team.  Taking first pace in each class were scientists Taylor and Nirvana, taking second were Stella, Annabelle, and Chelsea, and rounding out the grant awards in third place were Luke and Trevor.
