Shut-Out vs. Glenelg Earns Second Conference Win this Week for Eagles Baseball

It's been a great week for the Eagles Champion Baseball team, as they notched two conference wins. The team defeated Boys Latin 11-8 on Monday, April 3, and earned a shut-out win against Glenelg Country School 4-0 at home on April 5.

Players of note in these two games were junior Riley Handwerger with six hits and two homeruns, senior Nick Pratt  with five hits, and senior Patrick Smith with three hits, five RBI’s, 12 strikeouts, and a homerun. Wow!

Wednesday's game vs. Glenelg saw Handwerger go three-for-four with two RBIs (one from a solo shot home run in the third inning and a double in the fifth), catcher Pratt go two-for-three, Julian Butler '23 driving in a run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, and Smith pitching a complete shutout game, giving up only three hits, one walk, and 10 strike-outs.

The Eagles play next on Tuesday at Calvert Hall.  Go CREEK!
