Boys Cross Country Wins 6th at MIAA Championships

The ICS Varsity Boys Cross Country team earned 6th place yesterday at the 2022 MIAA C-Conference Championship meet. The team finished with a total score of 140, only two points behind 5th place St. Johns Catholic Prep and eight points behind 4th place Chapelgate Christian. Sophomore Ben Skalka was the team’s first finisher with a time of 21:08, which earned him 20th place overall.  Indian Creek Schools’ five scoring runners completed the race in a meet best 39 second window with strong times from Jaiden Coulter '24 (21:19), Sam Favazza '25 (21:29), Eli Robinson '26 (21:45), and Frederick McCuiston '24 (21:47). Liam Foley '26 medaled 5th in the Junior Varsity race with a time of 23:22. The boys finished the regular season with a 7-5 record. Both this and the championship results were the best the team has done in the last 10 years of competition. Indian Creek is expected to improve on this next season as all seven of its top runners return for another run at the championship. Way to go Creek!
