Eagles Cross Country Team Takes First League Meet 3-0

Indian Creek Eagles took their first league meet on Tuesday, September 21, topping runners from St. Peter and Paul, Concordia Prep, and St. Frances Academy on their home trail. ICS went 3-0, edging SPP 27-28, St Frances 25-30, and Concordia 24-35.

Seven Eagles runners, (including Jaiden Coulter ’24, Eli Fortier ’24, Austin Hartman ’25, Skyla Houde ’24, Abbi McKenney ’23, Cole Stephens ’25, and Jacob Stone ’24) achieved personal bests, with significant improvements showing across the board. Jacob finished third overall, while Jaden and Jack Noble ’23 finished in the top 10.  Abbi finished 12th overall in this MIAA race, and finished in the #1 spot of the girls.
In addition to their great performance on the track, this group of runners has exhibited great teamwork throughout the season, practicing not only at ICS, but also running together at different locations including Bacon Ridge and Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. The group started the day of the meet with a team get-together and ended the day with a donut celebration. Best of luck to the Eagles as they run again tomorrow at St. Vincent Pallotti High School.
